It’s all about ‘Milestones’
The traditional relationship milestones, while completely valid for those who want them, no longer suit everyone – so it’s time we started celebrating new ones too.
Engagement. Wedding. House. Kids. They’re the events we’ve used to measure the success of our intimate relationships for generations. But times are changing. More and more people are choosing to live child-free. Home ownership is unattainable to so many of us. And a wedding is now just one of the many ways of showing your commitment. And what about the importance of relationships with our friends, families and colleagues?
This Relationships Week 5 to 11 September, is a time when Relate will be celebrating a very special milestone of a refreshed brand, and in wanting to recognise the new milestones that matter to many of us. Whether it’s deciding to be child-free, finding our chosen family, recognising the anniversary of our oldest friendships or appreciating the support we give to our neighbours – we can relate.
We will be sharing lots of content throughout Relationships Week, exploring these new milestones and helping you to choose a path in life that’s authentically you.
With thanks to https://www.relate.org.uk/ for the above content.
I have great respect for the past. If you don’t know where you’ve come from, you don’t know where you’re going. I have respect for the past, but I’m a person of the moment. I’m here, and I do my best to be completely centered at the place I’m at, then I go forward to the next place.
